Group snowshoe hike with the Annecy-Aravis Mountain Office

For over 20 years, the Annecy-Aravis Mountain Office has been offering snowshoe hikes in La Clusaz, led by State-certified Mountain Guides, for a friendly exploration of the winter mountain and our region. The hikes are open to all, and the necessary equipment (snowshoes and poles) is provided.
The group outings are half-day, with the option for full-day hikes on request for private groups.
The meeting point for the outings is in front of the village tourist office at the times indicated on our brochure, available at the reception.

From December to April, available for half-day trips (2 hours in the morning, 2h30 in the afternoon).
All levels: from beginner to advanced.
- Beginner: introduction, easy discovery walk, about 100 m elevation gain;
- Intermediate (*): discovery walk off the marked trails, 100 to 200 m elevation gain, for average hikers;
- Advanced (**): more sporty half-day hike, to go further in discovery and fun, starting from 200 m elevation gain.

Sample program for winter 2024/2025 (indicative, subject to change depending on snow conditions):
- Monday 1:25 p.m.: Discovery at Plateau des Confins: discovery walk around the lake and on the Plateau des Confins. (Beginner)
- Tuesday 9:15 a.m.: Mont Blanc and chamois at Col des Aravis: walk with an exceptional panorama facing Mont Blanc. Observation of chamois with a telescope. (*)
- Tuesday 1:25 p.m.: The Versant du Soleil (Col de la Croix Fry): walk between clearings and chalets above the Manigod valley. (*)
- Wednesday 9:00 a.m.: The Beauregard Forest: crossing of the Beauregard plateau through the forest bordering the plateau. Descent by cable car. (Beginner)
- Wednesday 1:25 p.m.: Clearings of Col de la Croix Fry: beautiful protected area classified as Natura 2000. (*)
- Thursday 9:15 a.m.: Col des Aravis: hike facing Mont Blanc with a breathtaking balcony route. (**)
- Thursday 1:25 p.m.: Plateau des Follières: a protected natural area close to La Clusaz, between clearings and woodlands. (*)
- Friday 9:15 a.m.: The Samance Plateau: a beautiful panoramic alpine meadow below the Bargy massif in Grand Bornand. Splendid views of the Aravis. (*)
- Saturday and Sunday: upon request.
