The Trapper’s Teepee

Welcome to Jack Digger, known as the Skillful Man or Nehirowisiw in Atikamekw, the last trapper of La Clusaz. As soon as night falls, let yourself be transported into an immersive and warm setting and share an unforgettable evening in his unique universe, in the heart of the larch and spruce forest!

Two options are possible:
- On snowshoes
- On a sled

If you opt for the snowshoe option, the adventure begins with a short walk supervised by ESF instructors. You then join the teepee to enjoy a friendly aperitif outdoors, then prepare and share the trapper's dinner: a seasonal vegetable soup, followed by a Savoyard fondue accompanied by cold meats, and for dessert a delicious chocolate extreme! Finally, the evening ends in a musical atmosphere, before putting your snowshoes back on to return to the starting point.

If you choose to reach the teepee by sled, the adventure begins in the village with a chairlift ride. The ESF instructors will be waiting for you at the top to give you your equipment (phosphorescent vest, individual sled) and brief you on the safety rules. After an initial short descent of 300 m, you will arrive at your destination and finally discover the tepee. An aperitif will be served outside, then you will warm up under the tepee to prepare and share the trapper's supper, accompanied by a good white wine from Savoie. After a singing interlude, it is time to go home. A 4 km sled descent through the forest will take you to the village centre, offering a memorable end to this evening under the stars.
