The top 5 places to revitalise

Breathing in the fresh alpine air in the Great Outdoors, is at the top of the list of things to do this summer and we have made it even easier for you by selecting the best 5 places to unwind in La Clusaz.

LAKE TARDEVANT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING

The hike starts at the Arpettaz car park near the Confins Goat Farm. After a steep climb through the forest along the pastures of the Combe de Tardevant, you reach wild and peaceful Lake Tardevant, with its stunning panorama over the Lachat of Grand Bornand and the Roc des Tours. An ideal place to unwind and relax before going on to the Tardevant peak or to head back down to the Confins.

HIGH-MOUNTAIN FARMS

Take a break at a high-mountain farm. In summer, some famers open their alpine farms to give visitors a chance to learn about daily life in the summer pastures and life on a high-mountain farm. Meet the cows, witness milking time and the fabrication and maturing of Reblochon with the bonus of a delicious afternoon tea made with local products, all with a breath-taking view over the mountains. An ideal setting for some guaranteed time out.

THE CONFINS VALLEY

Head up to the preserved and natural Confins Valley for calm and relaxation. Stroll around the lake, cross the lake on a zip wire, share a meal on a sunny terrace or play some golf to sound of the cow bells…what are you waiting for? Before leaving, don’t forget to stop off at the Confins Goat Farm to meet the goats and stock up on cheese!

SUNSET ON THE BEAUREGARD PLATEAU

Towards the end of the afternoon head up to the Beauregard Plateau, on foot or by cable car and enjoy a walk with an outstanding view over the Aravis range, Mont Blanc and the Mont Charvin. The show begins as the last rays of the sun hit the mountains and turn them a deep red. Don’t forget to bring a picnic or to book a table at a restaurant on the Beauregard Plateau. For the more adventurous, it may a good opportunity to set up camp for the night.
