Autumn is well underway, and winter is slowly starting to show its face. Perfect timing, as we have a bunch of new features to help you get ready for the new season: a hidden tipi in the forest, a hotel renovation, a new intimate lodging, and even a fully immersive experience in a gondola station. Here’s a quick overview of what awaits you in La Clusaz this winter!
The Trapper’s Teepee
Welcome to Jack Digger, also known as the Skillful Man or Nehirowisiw in Atikamekw, the last trapper of La Clusaz. Come experience a unique stay in his authentic teepee, in harmony with the mountain, at an altitude of 1500m. Share an unforgettable evening in the trapper’s world, deep in the forest. Take a chairlift or minibus, then put on your après-ski boots or snowshoes to reach the teepee, guided by professional guides. Enjoy an outdoor aperitif, share a trapper’s dinner, with music to set the mood, and return by sled back to the village. The Trapper’s Teepee offers a peaceful and total disconnection for an evening at La Clusaz
Beauregard Immersive Space
When skiing becomes a unique multisensory adventure
The Beau Regard Station, set to open in February 2025, is about to offer visitors an immersive and playful experience where the freedom to dare will be at the heart of four immersive scenes, all deeply rooted in the territory of La Clusaz. Freedom in all its forms will serve as the guiding thread, leading visitors through an unexpected mountain spectacle. Nestled at the departure of the gondola lift, this bright space promises to immerse visitors in an emotionally rich projection. This first thematic film will allow frequent village tourists to fully experience the freedom and authenticity of our region.
Renovation of the Beauregard Hotel
The Beauregard Hotel has had a makeover! To offer its guests an even more pleasant and spacious setting, renovation and expansion work was carried out in the summer of 2024. This beautiful spot, nestled in the heart of the village, enjoys a prime location at the foot of the Bossonnet ski slopes. New rooms, a new seminar room, and a newly created spa featuring the Phytomer brand will be offered to guests. Many exciting updates await future travelers when they arrive at the Beauregard Hotel.
The Mazot of La Ferme du Var
Already managing La Ferme du Var, Mathilde and Sarah are introducing this winter the Mazot of La Ferme du Var. Newly renovated, the Mazot offers 6 exceptional new beds. Unique and clad in old local wood, this charming chalet is warm, comfortable, and above all full of stories and memories, making it the perfect cocoon to discover La Clusaz.
La Bascule: the giant swing of the Aravis
On the Aiguille massif, the famous aerial swing La Bascule, which opened in the summer of 2024, returns for a winter edition. This unique activity launches participants into the air, offering a breathtaking view of the Confins Valley and the Aravis mountain range. Perfect for thrill-seekers, this 6-minute flying experience promises unforgettable moments. Accessible by ski or on foot.
TRANSVAL MUSIC EXPRESS
Things are happening in Transval this year! Radio Meuh, the local webradio with a scent of reblochon, has taken over the place, and the cable car has been transformed into a giant ghetto-blaster. Thanks to a carefully curated playlist by Radio Meuh, skiers can enjoy a unique experience in the gondola, combining skiing and music. A perfect moment to warm up before hitting the slopes or to end the day in style!
A NEW EXPERIENCE, WITH ANOTHER ONE TO DISCOVER!
The Transval is multifunctional this winter, offering a unique culinary adventure every Thursday evening in the gondola. The “Suspended Dinner,” hosted by Roman Fournier’s team from Chalet des Joux, invites guests on an extraordinary journey combining fine dining and breathtaking snowy landscapes.
On the menu: a unique dish carefully crafted to showcase local and seasonal products; two meticulously decorated gondola cabins; a round-trip journey with a stop in the middle to enjoy the magical atmosphere, accompanied by music from Radio Meuh.
A truly unique experience to share in an exceptional setting.
ICE DIVING AT LAKE DES CONFINS
If you’re craving a version of The Big Blue in the mountains, La Clusaz makes it possible, and it happens at Lake des Confins.
Accompanied by Dan, an apnea instructor, budding divers will have the chance to experience the thrill of diving under 40 cm of ice in the majestic setting of the Confins. A unique activity that will allow all those seeking new sensations to leave with unforgettable memories!
A photographer is also available on-site to capture this moment.
