For this late summer season, the Community of Communes of the Thônes Valleys (CCVT) is experimenting with a car-free, peaceful discovery at Les Confins (La Clusaz) and Col des Annes (Grand-Bornand) on Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Through this initiative, the CCVT offers you an alternative way to access these locations, emphasizing collective transportation to prioritize a peaceful exploration of these natural spaces that need to be preserved. Stroll, discover magnificent natural landscapes, and immerse yourself in the heart of the mountain pastures and herds at Col des Annes and the Plateau des Confins without being disturbed by car traffic.
In La Clusaz, traffic will be regulated from “Le Bossonnet” between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
A screening process, conducted by Municipal Police officers, CCVT, and our volunteer Ambassadors, will allow access to accommodations for vacationers arriving or departing. Other access can be considered on a case-by-case basis on-site. Traffic will resume as usual outside these hours.
Weekend measures:
- Village parking: All village parking, both underground and outdoor, will be free.
- Free shuttles: Running every 15-20 minutes from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. All regular stops on Line 1 will be served, and the usual 6:30 PM shuttle on Line 1 will also be operational.
Take the opportunity to (re)discover Les Confins without cars for a weekend!
